Tami and Jerod hosted their wedding day on her grandparents property. A gorgeous property with those personal touches of landscape and memories were the background for their wedding. I got to hear about generations and stories on this property and it was clear that it was the perfect spot for more memories to be created...especially wedding memories!!

The smells of all of the food as it was being prepared in the kitchen, the sounds of the children running and playing as the day continued and the laughter and sounds of celebration of happiness just rang with all of the guests as they arrived to celebrate the day with Tami & Jerod. 

A fantastic summer day wedding...I can't think of anything else better!

Now, I wanted to start out blogging again this year as kind of a New Year's Resolution...(I know, I know...it's February already, and I am a month behind lol). So, with my new year starting and my new ideas, endeavors and of course new clients, locations and tons of fun planned...I wanted to start with something fun I did last year! I have so much catching up to do and I can't wait to show you all of the great pictures I took last year and talk about the amazing clients and memories I have. Last year was AWESOME, and I am looking forward to this year!! It's going to be incredible!!

I was blessed enough to host a photographer shootout where many female photographers in the area worked together, photographed models and prepared for the already busy high school senior portrait season! 

It was a great evening as everyone worked with each model in various areas of the CSU Oval and worked together posing, shooting and just plain having fun! It was a great evening and we all came away with making new photographer friends and a lot of amazing pictures of these young women who were absolutely amazing to work with!! Thank you to everyone who made this night such a success!

I was asked to photograph an adorable couple that have dated all through high school! Needless to say, I was slightly disappointed that I wouldn't be able to attend this wedding as it is a friend of mine...her son was the one getting married. However, I knew that Tim was going to be amazing and couple and their family would be in great hands! 

Kayla and Osue are so cute together and you can just see their smiles change when you mention the other one. I am so goals I wasn't able to be there but the pictures are great and I am so excited to share them for you on Tim's behalf! It was a great day with that cloudy summer Colorado weather hanging over the front range but everything went amazing!

This is exactly what Angie and Josh's wedding was like! The church was different and so beautiful! The venue was of course one of the most amazing places for a wedding day as it overlooks the cities of Golden and the views are just outstanding! And lets not forget the couple! I met Angie and Josh what seems to be like years ago!! I got to work with them, take their engagement pictures and be a part of the wedding journey!

I can't begin to tell you how blessed and incredibly honored I am each time a couple selects me as their wedding photographer! And working with Angie and Josh, was an absolute pleasure. The wedding and their entire day was the most perfect day...we even had a little sunshine at the perfect time among all the rain and clouds! Congratulations!!

Jessica and Micah hired me to photograph their wedding and I couldn't have been more excited! Normally, I get to work with the couple multiple times and meet them in person throughout the journey to their wedding day. However, this time I met Jessica just days before the wedding and Micah the day of. This however, doesn't ever hinder my excitement or my knowledge of my clients. If anything, when I show up...I still feel like I have known them forever. With plenty of emails and phone calls, I couldn't wait to work with them to photograph the sweetest wedding. Their closest family and friends, some traveling many miles to be there, it was simply the most amazing morning wedding! 

From the flowers, to the dress, to all of their smiles that I captured throughout the morning into the afternoon...I will never forget this wedding!! The McCreery House made the perfect backdrop for such a sweet and intimate wedding! Such a blessing to have photographed their wedding! Congratulations!! 

 

We had to reschedule their session multiple times due to the crazy weather we have had in Colorado lately. However, the weather was not going to stop us this time! Under the grey clouds and the looming weather that surrounded us, we waited for sprinkles and were determined to take pictures! The girls played with umbrellas and had fun running around while I got to spend time photographing them. Mariya and Zach have the most amazing girls and they are pretty fantastic too! Their wedding day is going to be amazing! 

This session just goes to show that you don't need that sunshine and bright blue skies...we had the most fun and it made for the most amazing pictures and views of why Colorado is so amazing!

What a great evening we had working together again!! I am so proud of her and so excited to watch her with college and life...nothing is going to stop her!

He is such an adorable and fun little kid...and I could literally spend all day photographing him :-) I think you will see why! I even had the worst time selecting photographs to put in this blog because he has so many great pictures!! His smile is so contagious that I hope looking at his pictures makes you smile the way I do when I look at them and work with him!

I worked with the Housley Family a few years ago when the only had one child...so it was a blessing to be able to photograph them again with their addition. 

So excited to share these...what an amazing family!! The boys are so much fun and were incredibly excited to get their pictures taken!!

Since then, they are planning now on growing their family and are expecting their first baby together. Their children that they already share are awaiting their new baby brother!! In July, baby Blake will make his arrival and I cannot wait to meet him!!

Molly and Joel are the sweetest couple and the have actually been together for over 8 years...they just never got married and then decided that the time was finally right to get married. With Joel being a photographer himself, I was so excited and nervous (all at the same time, of course) that I finally had the honor to photograph another photographer's wedding! Molly & Joel planned the perfect little Mountain wedding at Wedgewood Wedding and Event Center in Boulder. The weather that day was unbelievably chilly but nothing was going to stop the wedding day. With their closest family and friends in the mountains for their wedding, the crisp mountain air and a cloudy sky was perfect. 

The smiles and giggles that came from them during their vows, I will never forget and made their ceremony one of the most memorable...it was truly priceless. Then with a burst of excitement after the ceremony was over, they sprinted down the aisle!! It was so exciting and so much fun to photograph as they ran past me with the largest smiles and love for each other. 

The evening was just as amazing with a great dinner while everyone warmed up, a fun cake cutting and a great first dance sang by one of the groomsmen! It was the perfect evening to begin their new lives together as husband and wife!

CASA of Larimer County is a non-profit organization that offers assistance to abused and neglected children. They can also supply a secure environment for family involvement and visitations. The staff of CASA organized a Wine, Women and Shoes benefit that was held on September 20, 2013 at the Lincoln Center to raise funds to support the children in our community. 

This evening was filled with of course wine, women and shoes...yes SHOES, but the evening also had amazing food, vendors, volunteers and ended the evening with an auction and a fashion show! The only way I can explain the evening was energetic! The room was buzzing with smiles, laughter, stories and LOTS of "girl" stuff! It was such a wonderful night that supported such a great cause. 

Thank you to all the vendors, staff and volunteers that worked so hard to put this wonderful event together! I know Nicole and I were proud to volunteer our time and photography for such an amazing cause! I hope to see you this fall for the next Wine, Women and Shoes event! Stay connected for details!

I had the great pleasure to hang out with this amazing family for an afternoon along the beautiful shores of Lake Loveland. On a private property I got to meet their wonderful kids and take their pictures. I seriously cannot wait until their private wedding on a private ranch in Wellington.

With the mountain clouds and sun alternating in the sky, it became the most sunny wedding we have had all season...so far. The house at Wilder-nest Retreats was a mix of a home away from home and a rustic farm property with open fields and charm everywhere you looked. The wedding was quaint in an open meadow on the lower end of the property nestled by trees, a mountain ridge and a stream that you could hear ever so faintly in the background. It is truly the perfect natural setting for any wedding! 

Ashtyn and Scott then selected the best place ever for their reception!! Rodizio's!! If you have never been here it is a MUST GO place to eat! When Ashtyn first told me where her reception was, I was shocked! I had no idea that they held private party events such as receptions for weddings. Their evening was filled with their closest family and friends after the drive down from the gorgeous mountain scenery. The plates were full of delicious food, while the air was filled laughter and the buzz of their wedding day. It couldn't have been a more perfect day for the two of them!

This school has been amazing as it is where my oldest daughter goes to school and will be walking across this exact stage next year. This school started very small and has grown immensely over a short amount of time. The dedication of its teachers, administration and the support the children get at this school is something that no one can just not keep track of because there is so much love and support for our children to grow! 

This senior class hit tremendous test scores and records that cannot be beat! Nationally the high school is ranked #49 and in the State of Colorado they are ranked #1! This high school started just a few short years ago...so you can see that the amount of work that everyone puts forth has made this school such a success. This multiple awards winning high school uses the Core Knowledge Sequence and is a classical, liberal arts and a strength in math science as well as engineering that prepares children for college with an enriched high school experience by giving them the tools that they need for success. Some of these students that you are about to see are headed to join our United States Navy, Brown University and so many amazing school...I wish them the best of luck because I know they have a bright and strong future ahead of them!!

I am looking forward to Saturday as it will be the final game of the season for me to photograph and I am excited to see these guys one more time!! Their team pictures were so much fun and I want thank each and every one of them for making another amazing season for me!! If you have never been to the Budweiser Events Center to witness the amount of action packed, indoor football...you have no idea what you are missing!! These men hit harder, louder, have more fun and are completely passionate about the sport of football! The games are amazing and seriously fun for the entire family! This week even the military were involved introducing cadets into the military as well as presenting the American flag from the rafters!! Local schools sing the National Anthem and there is entertainment during the entire game! You can also bring a sharpie and get your favorite players signature directly after each game! They love meeting their fans and getting pictures....they are incredible guys that sometimes even dance! ;-) I promise you that you do not want to miss another game! 

Check out these photos from last weekends game and their win against the Bemidji Axeman!! Not to mention, the fans and the military. A personal "Thank you" to our military for your support, service and all you do for our country! It was an honor to photograph your presentation at the game.

Jae and Jennifer chose to go the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens. We walked around on the nicest day and simply chatted about their wedding day and of course took pictures. I love when couples can just be themselves in front of my lens and just simply indulge in one another. Talking about their wedding day during the session always helps elevate their feelings towards each other and helps them focus on what they are planning instead of my camera. In Jae and Jennifer's case, they rarely get to see each other and have been able to grow stronger as a couple through a long distance relationship...not the easiest thing to do! But their strength and their beliefs are so strong that they find the strength in each other as they look towards their August wedding. So, you can only imagine how blessed I was to be a part of this day seeing them reunited and being able to spend time with the two of them together.

I cannot wait until August and until they are reunited one last time at the alter...forever. Their chemistry, positive outlook and strength in one another is such an amazing gift and I am so blessed that they have chosen me to photograph their wedding day. Enjoy!

The Colorado Ice football games are so much fun! Excitement, family fun, the Snow Angels, music with dance moves from Glacier and of course FOOTBALL! And...NO game would be complete without the amazing fans that come to every game and sponsors that support this wonderful group of guys! If you like football and you have never been to a game...you need to go very soon as you are totally missing out!

I had the pleasure of photographing the most adorable 2 year old last year and her birthday party at home. This year, her parents called me to photograph her 3rd birthday party and I didn't even hesitate! Of course! I couldn't believe that an entire year had gone by already! And to my amazement, she had grown twice as tall as she was the year before. Her smile just as contagious and her laugh and fun-loving spirit is simply unforgettable! 

I couldn't help but love that her parents thought about taking them to some place educational for a child's birthday party. The Gardens on Spring Creek had this amazing little room where the kids actually got to plant a plant, start a seed in a necklace and of course have cupcakes! 

Once the juice boxes were empty and the cupcakes had vanished into crumbs, the fun was about to start, tattoos, birthday party horns, stickers and of course JUMPING! The laughs and smiles were infectious and you couldn't help but smile and laugh right along with them. If the word "adorable" had a picture in the dictionary...it would be a picture from this birthday party!

We got to hang out and of course, my favorite, photograph at sunset! Mariah was surprised with a photoshoot from her mom and she is actually wanting to get into modeling. She is gorgeous, has a lovely spirit and was so much fun to work with! Her gorgeous smile was simply beautiful and contagious! At such a young age, I think she has a bright future ahead of her!

However, before we get to their most amazing wedding, I had to spend some time with the couple first :-) Most people put a lot of pressure on engagement pictures...What do you wear? Where do you go?...you get the point. But they wanted to do something a little more laid back that was perfect just for the two of them...so we went on a walk and of course took their wonderful dog! I loved this low key, hanging out for an afternoon, just taking pictures and getting to know them better! One of the sweetest and most sincere couples...it couldn't have been a more perfect afternoon!

I honestly am so excited for their wedding day! It is going to be a beautiful, mountain wedding...you will not want to miss it!

I mean, what 10 year old girl wouldn't want a star-studded birthday party featuring her very best friends complete with a red carpet! This party had so many amazing things that I don't even think I could list them all! When the friends arrived at the party they completed their red carpet walk in front of the paparazzi (hey...that's me! ;-), music in the background, snacks everywhere, thoughtful gifts, cake, ice cream, sparkling cider, confetti, and a surprise LIMO ride!

Heck, I think I want my next birthday party to be like this!!

There we so many adorable giggles and those laughs that make you just smile on the inside...it really was an amazing party! In fact, it was so much fun that even her parents and the adults there had to get in on the fun! Heck, even Kitty Perry was there! ;-)

I was able to capture moments from Karley's baby shower welcoming Baby Jordann to the world. Jordann is due to arrive in May but she is growing so much every day...you just never know. Guests had so much fun tasting baby food, laughing and trying NOT to say the "B" word and playing so many other adorable games! Justine and the girls from Karley's salon put together an afternoon that was so much fun! Thank you to B. Sweet Cupcakes in Loveland for the great location and the best cupcakes ever!

Until their amazing wedding day, I have got to spend a lot of time with them not only doing their engagement pictures, but also attending a bridal shower with their family and friends. I cannot begin to tell you each day of how honored and truly blessed I am to be a part of my clients lives and capture the most intimate moments while they are celebrating tremendous moments in their lives. 

I cannot wait to photograph their wedding day!

This wasn't just any cruise! It was a fan cruise for someone that my daughter watched on YouTube multiple times and greatly admired.

In a brief summary, Talia Joy, at only 7 years old, was diagnosed with a very rare form of Cancer. With her motto, "Makeup is My Wig" she began "vlogging" her battle with Cancer and her journey with people all over the world! With that kind of motto, you can guess what her videos where about! With the loss of her hair she began to do makeup tutorials and try makeup from many different brands. Brands such as Cover Girl and MAC to name a few. Her videos became inspiration as well as beauty knowledge to many girls...including my daughter. She was an absolute YouTube sensation! With over a MILLION subscribers, Talia made quite an impact on the internet and the followers who tuned into her channel to follow her story.

Talia at age 13, lost her battle with Cancer on July 16, 2013. Needless to say, she had always wanted to go on a cruise and never got to go. So, with the organization of her family and friends, they created a Fan Cruise in her honor.

With this journey, we decided to have our own journey and drive the 2000+ miles to Florida and 2000 miles back to Colorado to be a part of this cruise! With Passports in hand, suitcases stuffed with everything and of course camera in hand, we experienced our first trip out of the country on a cruise ship...a first for both of us.
